Batik Tie-dying
Tie-dying and batik are one of the traditional practices in some parts of China, especially for some of the minority groups. I visited Dali, Yunnan, and created this piece with the natural dyes at a local studio.
The artwork is inspired by the cycle of life and nature, displaying four seasons shown by the difference stages of the tree at four corners.
